January 20, 2009

Time: 5:45 AM
Duration: have no idea...
Location: Scenic Loop

Sport: Running
Workout: Easy run
Distance: 10 Miles
Weather: Wonderful!!
People: Team Rogue

I was late to the workout. I got stuck in traffic on I35. I was pretty pissed but at least I made it. In the car I was already thinking of ways to cut the route short or debating when I could run today to get my miles in. But thankfully I was at the beginning of the wreck so it went by pretty quickly. I did upset one diver and didn't let him in. It was just cheating and not waiting in line like everyone else was. Everyone had to be somewhere just not him. So I blocked him in. I also always leave space in between me and the car in front of me (Dad always told me to) but he would honk at me if I didn't move an inch. Like an inch was going to get us anywhere. He had pretty bad road rage.

Anyway, finally made it to the workout 15 minutes late. I decided to cut my run short and only do 8. I was kinda scared running by myself but found Bruce. I will call him my personal bodyguard. He was nice enough to run with me for the first half to make sure I was safe. Since he is super fast, I picked up the pace some that way I didn't make him slow down too much. Since we were going faster than my usually pace I decided to go ahead and do 10 instead of 8. Anyway, I turned around at Red Bud and he kept going. I came back the same way we came. I just didn't want to hit the trails by myself. There were actually alot of people and cars out so I felt fine. I am happy it is done!!

Bruce is such a wonderful person. I'm glad you had someone to run with. Christine and I stayed off of the trails, found a new little path to get us to Caesar Chavez that I didn't know anything about.

did you see the wreck? It was a fatality that kept the Oltorf overpass closed for several hours. looked like a nightmare on the northbound side as i headed south.

glad you got to run;-)
