25 Radom Things About Me...

I got tagged in face book about this. I thought I might as well post them on this blog.

1. I was named after my dad. His name is Stephen Michael and I am Stephanie Michelle. I am pretty mini version of him- legs, face, smile, teeth, etc.

2. I do not drive on holidays (birthday, Christmas, Valentines, etc.). I have had 4 accidents including 1 head-on on those days. Believe me, Volvo's are the safest cars. They saved my life more than once.

3. My husband and I are brothers. We both belong to the same fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi. It is a professional business fraternity.

4. I originally started running to help my dad loose weight. My sister and I thought it would be a good idea if we all trained together. He ended up dropping out after a few weeks and Judi and I stayed with it. Amy Anderson was my 1st running coach. We trained for the Komen Race 5k for the cure.

5. I didn't know how to ride a bike till I was 24. My sister fell off the bike once when she was little so Mom and Dad put the bike in garage and never were to be seen or heard of again. Tim, my boyfriend at the time, finally taught me how and bought me my 1st bike for Christmas at the age of 24.

6. When Tim is out of town, you can usually find me at Luby's and having pizza. He hates both of those things so I never get to have them.

7. I have to have the bed made every morning. In our household who ever gets up lasts, gets to make it.

8. I was in band from 6th grade all the way through high school. I played the flute and piccolo. Which I still have all 3 of them - marching flute, concert flute, and piccolo. I even went to band camp at UT every summer.

9. I was in Camp Fire. The same thing as Girl Scouts/Boy Scouts but for boys and girls.

10. During my college days, I was always in school. I didn't take a single summer off or any other semester off. I loved summer school enough to take at least 9 hours per session.

11. Since I was in high school, I have worked through all Christmas, Spring Breaks and summer school breaks. Even it it was just a week or so. I would rather gain work experience and earn money.

12. I have been doing accounting for as long as I can remember. I would help my dad enter the checks into spreadsheets at home when I was in middle school.

13. My favorite show of all time is Walker, Texas Ranger. When I was in high school or middle school I would have to be home my 9pm to watch it on Fridays. I still watch it to this day.

14. I am addicted to Ebay!! You can find anything and everything on there. I have also made some money on there selling some of my stuff.

15. I have meet my husband at Dallas night club, but didn't know it at the time. He originally was hitting on my best friend at the time but she pawned him off on me because he wasn't her type but thought he was mine. We danced one song than went our separate ways. Then 6 months later, I meet him again while pledging our fraternity. After a couple of months of dating we finally realized that we had meet before at Dallas.

16. My mom taught my sister and I never to go anywhere without make-up and lipstick.

17. I love to workout - going for a nice long or short run makes me the happy. If I don't run or workout, I will get grumpy.

18. I am very close to my huge family. My dad is from a family of 10. Usually Thanksgiving includes about 45 to 50 people on the smaller side. It seems very normal to us too. Poor Tim.

19. My sister and I love to shop together. This past Thanksgiving we headed to the outlet mall at midnight and shopped till 6am then headed over to Barton Creek Mall for a couple of more hours. That is at least 8 hours of straight shopping.

20. I ran my 1st marathon (February) and 1st Half-Ironman (July) in the same year, 2006!

21. I always have to have my toenails painted. If not they feel naked.

22. I am full blooded Hispanic but I do not like Mexican food or cook it.

23. I have in my trunk a set of workout clothes and dressy outfit in case of an emergency.

24. I hardly ever sweat. It takes alot to make me.

25. My father and I own our accounting office downtown. We do corporate, partnerships, and individual returns. We also do payroll taxes (TWC, 941, 940), sales tax, franchise tax, and monthly financial statements. I can love my job.
